The final conference of the Interreg ADRION "PORTODIMARE" (geoPORtal of TOols & Data for sustaInable Management of coAstal and maRine Environment) project was held online via EUSAIR Stakeholder Platform on December 9-10, 2020. PORTODIMARE's Geoportal (GAIR), a central product of the Project, will support the implementation of the ICZM Protocol, the Marine Spatial Planning in the area, and the Action Plan of the European Union Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR).
In PORTODIMARE PAP/RAC was coordinating the testing activities. In addition to the two training workshops organised by PAP/RAC, the Centre assisted the partners to test the modules in pilot areas, participated in the development of the Action plans prepared for the testing areas in four countries , prepared the Geoportal practical guide, and the Maintainance and transferability plan. PAP/RAC also participated in capitalization activities and contributed with project proposals for the future of the ADRION area. At the final conference PAP/RAC moderated the Session II on the results of testing in pilot areas, and Ms. Željka Škaričić, PAP/RAC director, participated as a panellist in the discussion on ADRION Capitalization and the way forward.
The 2nd day of the Final conference was dedicated to sessions with local stakeholders in national languages. PAP/RAC contributed with presentations to the local event in Montenegro as a number of projects of interest to local stakeholders were/are implemented in Montenegro in addition to Portodimare.
