Virtual discussion on development of the Montenegro database for marine and coastal data

On 11 January 2021, a virtual meeting was held within the frame of the GEF Adriatic project, to present and discuss the development of the national database for parameters relevant for Integrated Monitoring and Assessment Programme (IMAP) and Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD) reporting in Montenegro. PAP/RAC expert, Mr Damir Ivanković, presented the scheme and the interface of the database with details that illustrate the functions of the database: data entry, verification and processing of parameters that are of high relevance to IMAP Ecological Objectives. Following this initial meeting, data base will be populated with relevant data, in collaboration with the national experts and Environmental Protection Agency. The meeting, organized in collaboration between PAP/RAC the Ministry of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism, was attended by national experts from Environmental Protection Agency of Montenegro, Kotor Institute of Marine Biology, Centre for Ecotoxicological Research - CETI, and Hydrometeorological Institute of Montenegro.
