Farewell dear Professor

It was with great sadness that we have received the news of the passing of Prof. Allan T. Williams.

Influencing scientist, emeritus professor, member of numerous scientific committees, judo black belt holder, musician, novel writer… He was one of the pillars of the important Mediterranean Coastal Foundation – MEDCOAST through its 30 years long great contribution to the Mediterranean coastal management. But above all, he was inspiring mentor, a friend and the greatest beach lover of all. His love for the coast was infectious and the reason so many of his students have grown to became coastal managers.

Thank you for the great contribution to the science and management of our beloved coasts. Thank you for all the laughs and wonderful life lesson that work should, above all, be fun.

Our sincere condolences go to his wife Hillary and all of his colleagues and fiends.

Farewell and rest in peace dear Professor.
