International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM) - Organics International launched its fifth European organic leadership course in Croatia with the kick-off at the annual Organic Fair in Split held on 19-20 May 2017 and a Sunday morning session at the PAP/RAC premises. The course then moved to the Adriatic islands of Vis and Hvar.

Since 1972, IFOAM - Organics International has occupied an unchallenged position as the only international umbrella organization of the organic world, uniting an enormous diversity of stakeholders contributing to the organic vision. At the heart of IFOAM - Organics International are its 800 Affiliates in more than 100 countries. IFOAM's mission is to take the world a step closer to the mainstream uptake of organic agriculture.

Sustainable coastal development for the Mediterranean coastal zones implies the uptake of the organic agriculture production and consumption, for the health of its population, soils and ecosystems, but also as valuable offer for its numerous tourists.
