MedOpen ICZM advanced 2019 has started !

The online MedOpen ICZM advanced, which has just started, is a twinning training course organized for students of two faculties, in Morocco and Tunisia. The students are attending the second year of similar professional Masters, respectively:  “Science and Technique: Coastal Engineering - Environmental Management and Sustainable Development” (MSTGL), at the Faculty of Science and Technique Al Hoceima (FSTH), Morocco; and two Research Masters on Environmental Sciences: “Pollution and Environmental Management” (PME) and “Biology of Organisms, Pollution and Environment” (BOPE), at the Faculty of Science, Bizerte (FSB), Tunisia. This training course will encourage sharing of ICZM knowledge and know-how and strengthen the dialogue between the Moroccan and Tunisian students and universities. It includes a practical part, a Simulation game, which will be implemented at two pilot sites - the national park of Al Hoceima in Morocco, for the FSTH students, and the lagoon of Ghar El Melh in Tunisia (in the frame of the GEMWET project), for the FSB students. The MedOpen lecturers, mentors and Simulation game moderators will accompany the Moroccan and Tunisian students on this way, and respond and adapt themselves to their needs. This will be a joint and dynamic adventure within each of the groups, as well as between the groups of the two countries. To that end, everyone will play his/her role in order to make this MedOpen session a success for each of the participants and for all. May these 12 weeks of the on-line exchanges make progress a reality!
