04.07.2016

In order to respond to the great interest of target users, in particular those coming from the French speaking Mediterranean countries, PAP/RAC decided to organize the MedOpen ICZM Advanced training session in French. The session starts on 19 September 2016 and will be lasting for 12 weeks, i.e. until 11 December 2016.

In addition to raising awareness and improving knowledge of ICZM aspects in the Mediterranean, the aim of the session is to enhance a policy dialogue and build / improve capacities on implications of ICZM considerations, the ICZM Protocol and other related national policies. The target users of the training session are: decision makers (at the local, national, regional, and international level), policy advisors, project managers, teams and experts of international organisations and institutions, academic researchers, students, and all others interested in ICZM issues.

The session will be available on-line, in the frame of the user-friendly PAP/RAC MedOpen virtual training course, and completely free of charge. The theoretical part of the training session includes 12 lectures accompanied by the additional materials, i.e. the scientific articles available for download. Trainees will be requested to actively and regularly participate in Forum discussions and in the Simulation Game, as well as to prepare a Final Essay in the end of the training session. Trainees with positively assessed participation in these three activities will be awarded the MedOpen ICZM Advanced certificate.

The deadline for the application is 22 July 2016, at the latest. Applications with the attached letter of motivation and a CV of a candidate should be sent by e-mail to Ms. Branka BariƦ, PAP/RAC Programme Officer, branka.baric@paprac.org, with a copy to Mr. Sylvain Petit, PAP/RAC Programme Officer, sylvain.petit@paprac.org
