On the occasion of a joint event co-hosted by UNEP/MAP and the Hellenic Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate Change, the MAP presented the comprehensive report on the State of the Environment and Development (SOED), covering the Mediterranean region. The launch that took place in Athens, on 2 March 2010, was very well attended by ambassadors and high-level representatives of the Barcelona Convention Diplomatic delegations to Greece, representatives from Ministries, NGOs, academia and a large number of foreign and national journalists.
The report is a new effort to provide decision-makers and the public at large with consolidated information and data on the State of the Environment in the Mediterranean.
