It is with deep sadness that we mark the passing of Mr. Arsen Pavasović, our Former Director, whose dedication, integrity and quiet strength shaped PAP/RAC in lasting ways.
Mr. Pavasović led with care, precision and a strong sense of responsibility towards the people he worked with. In some of the Centre’s most challenging moments, he stood firmly in its defense, ensuring its continuity and proud standing in Croatia.
Through his vision and commitment, the Centre grew in confidence and gained respect across the Mediterranean. He initiated and supported key projects and regional efforts that continue to influence our work today. The standards he set remain a benchmark we always strive to meet.
Beyond his professional achievements, he will be remembered as a true gentleman - our "Pavek" - thoughtful, loved by his colleagues, and widely respected by partners throughout the Mediterranean. He had a subtle, understated sense of humour, and many of his well-known phrases are still part of the Centre’s everyday language.
Even after his retirement, Mr. Pavasović remained closely connected to the Centre and to the Mediterranean coastal areas he cared about so deeply. His presence, support, and belief in the Centre never faded. His legacy lives on in the people he supported and in the standards he set.
