Celebration of the Coast Day 2008 in Morocco

09.09.2008

"Foundation Mohamed VI for the Environmental Protection" and PAP/RAC finalised the program of the celebration ceremony that will be held on Coast Day on Fnideq beach, near the town of Tétouan, under the auspices of Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa, President of the Foundation and Ambassador of the Coast.

The aim of the celebration is to call for a more effective engagement of decision-makers and of all coastal stakeholders to save the coast. Celebration will also be the occasion to promote the implementation of a new Mediterranean Protocol on ICZM, signed in Madrid, in January 2008.  To honour the engagement of the HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa and the Foundation, host of 2008 central Coast Day celebration, the topic of this year is beach management.

The event will consist of a technical workshop on the theme of sustainable beach management, followed by the official celebration ceremony.

Join the Coast Day 2008 and become a part of the coastal movement for the Mediterranean.

Together we can make the difference!
